Australia's Development Scholarship

Each year,  the Australian Government sponsors people from a number of developing countries to study in  Australia through Australian Development Scholarships (ADS). The Australian Development Scholarship program in Indonesia aims to promote private and public sector human resource development in areas of agreed development priority.

This is achieved by providing post-graduate scholarships for Indonesians to study in Australia and by working in close cooperation with the Indonesian Government to deliver a program which is flexible to Indonesia's human resource development needs.

Prior to applying for ADS, applicants must meet all eligibility criteria listed in the application form. (click the eligibility link to see the criteria)
After meeting all the eligibility criteria, applicants must complete the application form, answering all relevant questions and submit it in person, by post or by courier service to the ADS Office.   Applications should be submitted as early as possible. If submitting by post or by courier your application must be received by date stamp no later than the closing date indicated in the application form. If your application is received after the closing date it will not be considered.
Following are points to be considered when submitting your application form:

          o Submit / send 3 (three) copies of the completed ADS application forms (photocopy applications are accepted) together with the required documents to the ADS office directly in person or via post or courier service;
          o Each copy of the application form should have attached certified* copies of the relevant documents listed below;
          o Applications with incomplete documentation will NOT be considered for a scholarship;
          o ADS will send a notification letter to all applicants after the selection process.

*Certified: a statement that the document is a true copy (legalisir cap asli), signed and dated by a magistrate or equivalent.



All applicants must attach copies of a certified transcript of academic record and copies of their certificate/degree. Copies of original documents are to be certified by your university or notaris, or an IDP Office. If you are applying for a Masters level course in business administration please attach your Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score result, if available.



To complete your application you will need to submit the following documents:



Essential documents

Have you included the following documents?

    * copies of Biirth certificate;
    * copies of KTP or your passport personal information pages;
    * current Curriculum Vitae;
    * official (certified) tertiary certificates/degrees;
    * official (certified) tertiary transcripts of results; 
    * current original certificate (not copies) IELTS or TOEFL English language test results (a test result obtained in 2009 or 2010 will be considered  current). TOEFL prediction test is NOT accepted;
    * Doctorate applicants must also attach certified S1 degree certificate/transcript;
    * Academic reference from S2 supervisor for Doctorate candidates; and
    * Doctorate and those Masters applicants whose study will include at least fifty percent research must attach an outline (1 page) of the proposed research project (see page 7 of application form) and include details of any proposed fieldwork outside of Australia that you could need to undertake as part of your research.



Additional Documents
Applicants must provide the following documents if they are selected for an interview.

    *
      recent photograph (3 x 4);
    *
      official (certified) English translations of Indonesian certificates/degrees;
    *
      official (certified) English translation of tertiary transcripts of results;
    *
      references from S1 supervisor for Masters candidates (if available);
    *
      list of relevant publications, unpublished theses (for research applicants);
    *
      statement from university that English is a language of instruction (if applicable);
    *
      relevant correspondence with an Australian institution (if available);
    *
      official (certified) English translations of birth certificate.
